Today there is a need to have a professional short term weekend course in culinary skills as the interest across the spectrum of society in cooking skills has increased tremendously. Also the interest spans across various age groups. The Diploma in Professional Culinary Skills (DPCS) is part time diploma course for any individual interested to learn cooking for a career or create and manage food business.
The part time Diploma in Professional Culinary Skills programme is aimed to educate students/ professionals in basic and intermediate culinary skills with basic eligibility of 12th standard and no age bar. This program focuses on the study of cooking skills associated with the preparation and service of traditional Indian, international and modern cuisine with a focus on entrepreneurial skills.
Students will examine the influences that help shape cuisine — including but not limited to geography, availability of natural resources, climate, and culture. The programme allows the student for intensive practical application of the latest trends in culinary world as well as prepare and sample international recipes in a collaborative kitchen environment.
